I truly believe that the big events and milestones are important, but it’s the small things in life that fill the pages of our story. The in between moments. The way you live your life. The people you surround yourself with. The places you travel to and activities you spend your valuable time doing. These all matter, and deserve to be documented to preserve your legacy and life story. Documentary sessions have little to no posing or direction from me. You are truly in the moment, and the best part is- this is when I get your true and genuine reactions and emotions. Whether you bring your family to a farm-to-table dinner, get your fishing poles out and enjoy an afternoon by the water, or whatever it is that is important to you, let’s document those little slices of everyday life.
Since each documentary session is unique, the timing can vary on how long we need together to truly capture the story. On average, past clients have needed anywhere from 1-3 hours, depending on what we are photographing. As we work together to plan all of the details, I will help with outfit styling and making sure everything falls into place to allow you and your people to truly enjoy your moment that you are having preserved.

Lifestyle newborn sessions with me include up to 120 minutes capturing this beautiful new life you just created! I like to keep things more natural, organic and timeless with these images so my approach is more of a documentary style instead of a heavily posed session with putting newborns in baskets and props. I focus on photographing the entire family together, in your home, where you all are building your lives together. I also want to capture babies in their most comfortable state, without putting them in unnatural bends and positions.
