This engagement session is a little extra special to me. I've known Jamie for a long time! We rode the same bus together in school and lived down the street from me. I did her senior pictures years ago! I watched this cutie grow up into the sweet, beautiful woman she is today and now I'm shooting her ENGAGEMENT photos which will then lead to her WEDDING! I can't believe it and I'm so excited!! Jamie and Jake compliment each other in so many ways! Their sweet and gentle love during this session literally made my heart melt! I could just tell by the way they would interact with each other how much they cared for and loved one another!
Jamie said her vision for her engagement session was she wanted it to be in an open field! And if there were wildflowers in that field, even better! After a day of location scouting, I found just the place that I knew she would love! And *I* loved it even more!! It was perfect!! This place literally looks like the setting for a Nicholas Sparks movie and I was so obsessed! We spent the first half of their session playing and twirling through the flowers and then our next stop was somewhere that actually turned out to be somewhere special to the two of them!
They wanted a beach location for the 2nd half and I knew the perfect place to bring them! When we pulled up they both said "I knew this place looked familiar! This was our first beach!" How sweet!! We spent the rest of the evening on the Indiana Dunes watching the gorgeous sunset!
I absolutely LOVED the detailing on Jamie's ring!! So pretty!
I asked them if they were planning a honeymoon after their wedding and they both looked at each other and smiled! Jake’s response was, “It’s a surprise… the only hints I gave her was 1. it is somewhere warm and 2. she needed a passport” and my jaw dropped. WHAT!! A surprise honeymoon?! Yes please!

Everything you've described just sounds like the absolute PERFECT fall wedding from the pumpkins, the mums, the color scheme, and everything!! I'm so happy for you two!!
