Anna and Leo will forever have a special place in my heart. They have waited for SO long for this day and it was nothing short of perfect! I just love hearing all about a brides vision for their wedding day and then seeing it all come to life! From the closing of bridges for her wedding party photos, to the emotional “first touch” they shared right before the ceremony, to their lakeside reception, everything turned out amazing! I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a happier and more emotional (in a good way!) bride! Anna was filled with so many emotions through out the morning and the whole day. And seeing her go through these emotions, made me cry WITH her. Wedding days are one of the biggest and best day in someones life and I could just tell she was so ready to finally marry Leo! By the heartfelt speeches from some of their guests, you could just feel the love that everyone had for them. Especially from Anna’s son, Christian. I’m pretty sure every person at their reception was crying during his sweet speech to his mom. He cried and told Anna how much he loved her and how that day made him so happy to see her get married. I hope you enjoy some of my all time favorites from their big day!! It was definitely a special one!!
These shoes!!! I was OBSESSED!! They matched her wedding day perfectly!
Anna had the idea of doing a special first look with Leo from the very beginning of her wedding planning. She knew that she didn’t want them to see each other until she walked down the aisle, but still wanted to do something unique. And I don’t know more perfect place for this to happen. Her best friend owns the cutest coffee shop in Whiting, Indiana called Indy Perk and this is actually where they first met! Instead of doing a “first look” like we all are familiar with, she wanted to do a “first touch”. They both came out on either sides of the corner of this special building, reached out for each others hands, and right when they first locked fingers, the look on both of their faces just had me in tears! I absolutely loved that they did this!
This day was so full of emotions, but I think this was one of my favorites. I was very involved with Anna’s planning stages and I just loved helping her and hearing all her visions and dreams about this day. When I saw her walk down the aisle with her father, I felt how she was feeling. I was SO happy for her!! This moment she was dreaming of and waiting for for so long is finally here. She was absolutely beautiful and she was about to marry her best friend! There was not a dry eye in this church!!
^^ They could not stop looking at each other and smiling the whole time! UGH! I just love these two!!
One of Anna’s requests for her wedding day was she wanted to shut down one of the bridges in Chicago (she had the hook ups!) and get her whole wedding party out there and take pictures! It caused the biggest traffic jam, but it was SO EPIC!
I loved her navy and yellow color palette so much! It was so unique, different and fresh!
My favorite part of wedding days, bride and groom portraits! These two can finally have some time together to just be alone with each other (and me, of course! haha). I could just tell by their attitudes and vibes that all the stress was gone and they were SO happy!
It’s party time!! Anna and Leo had signature drinks for their reception and they were garnished with SUGARFINA CANDY!!!! Her’s was a Paloma topped with a paloma grapefruit sour and his was a Moscow Mule topped with a bourbon bear! How “sweet” is that! They were such a huge hit!
Anna and Leo, you both have been such a special couple to me and finally seeing you two get married was amazing! I’m SO happy for you both and your little family! Your wedding day was full of emotions, laughter and memories that *I* will never forget! Thank you for everything!!!
