When I was chatting with Anna about if she had any ideas for where she wanted to take her engagement session photos, I said if there are any places that are special to you and Leo, those would be some great locations! I love capturing a couple in a spot that means something to them and is significant. When I told her this she said that she doesn't know of any specific places because everywhere they go together is so much fun! They could go to the grocery store and it would be the best night ever because they have so much fun with each other! She told me this before I had ever met Leo and once I finally did, I knew exactly what she was talking about. Anna is already such a ball of positive energy and makes me laugh more than a lot of people I know and seeing Leo's personality when I finally met him, I knew these two were perfect for each other! My stomach was aching by the time their session was over from all the laughing we did! These two are so playful and happy together, I barely had to tell them what to do! Me and Leo even had a bonding conversation about MACARONS and which ones were our favorites! WHAT! We instantly became best friends! Haha! SO many parts about this session makes it one of my all time favorites! I hope you enjoy some of the highlights! :)
Anna decided that she wanted to start their engagement session at THEIR beginning. Where it all started and where they first met! Her best friend owns this adorable coffee shop in Whiting called Indy Perk and she was the one that set these two up! (thanks, cupid! I mean, Erica! haha!) When she told me the idea of taking pictures with lattes in Erica's coffee shop, there was NO WAY I was saying no to THAT! #coffeeaddict haha! I love how these turned out and now they have photos in the very spot where their story started!
Changing the scenery, we walked around this adorable town that the coffee shop is in and I was IN LOVE with this location! The lighting was perfect and we got peeks of GREEN grass in the back! Spring is finally here! YAY!
Whenever they have to make a decision about something, the way they determine who has to do that thing, a battle of rock paper scissors happens! Even on their first date, when they decided who was driving, they played rock paper scissors. How cute, right?! This is something that is unique to them and I love capturing little bits and pieces that make a couple who they are!
This one is DEFINITELY a favorite!! I love twirling photos!
The Whiting Lakefront Park is actually where these two are getting married this September and there are SO many great locations! I'm so glad we ended the session at this hidden beach! These are some of my new favorites! Especially the very last one! ;)
THAT LIFT!! Leo and Anna, thank you SO much for making this session such a blast and I'm so honored to capture this exciting time in your lives! I said it once and I'll say it again, you both are perfect for each other!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WEDDING!! :)
