Usually when there is rain in the forecast, I would reschedule a shoot but when I brought up the idea of bringing my clear umbrellas, Megan was ALL FOR having a rainy engagement session! Megan and Tom wanted to do their shoot at Navy Pier because this is actually where he proposed to her on their dating anniversary! When there is significance in a special location for a couple, I always encourage picking that for your shoot because it will make these photos that much more special for them!
This was the very first time I met Megan and Tom and I just loved our time together! I feel like we instantly clicked and I loved hearing all about their story and how their wedding planning has been going! Besides the few strong gusts of wind and the scattered rain falls, it was such a dreamy, foggy day! These two were such champs! Even though it was around 40 degrees and that seems WARM to us after having that negative 50 degree day the week before, it was still kinda cold but they did amazing! I had such a blast with these two and I can not wait to photograph them again once they are husband and wife!! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Megan and Tom’s rainy engagement session!
Time for outfit number 2! I LOVED the fall tones in Megan’s outfit and thought it was perfect because they will be getting married this fall! As we were walking over to the next location, I spotted this little area and HAD to snap some shots! These ended up being some of my absolute favorites! I love those twinkle lights in the background!
