The sound of the rain bouncing off the tin roof, the warmth from the heaters, the laughter from all the guests. If you happen to walk past the Mora Farm on Sunday evening on the 7th of October, you would of saw a cozy and intimate wedding happening for the celebration of Jamie and Jake. They had a little under 50 guests which consisted of only their closest friends and family members, and they wouldn’t of had it any other way. Jamie had told me her vision for her wedding day as being a country style wedding. She wanted her and Jake to cut a pie instead of a cake. She wanted mums and pumpkins everywhere and the venue was out in the middle of no where away from all the commotion and chaos of the world. When I showed up at the Mora Farm, I was speechless. It was perfect and I knew exactly why Jamie and Jake chose this venue for the vision they had!
These two are some of the kindest humans I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. Jake is so gentle and caring and Jamie is just the sweetest that makes you want to smile every time you see her. When we did their engagement session, I got a glimpse of how they interact with each other and I couldn’t help but get that warm and fuzzy feeling seeing them together! I absolutely adore these two and I know their friends and family do too! Because I am with the couple and their wedding party more than anyone on the wedding day, I get to see an inside view of their relationships with these people. I just couldn’t get over how caring and considerate their wedding party members were towards Jamie and Jake. They ALWAYS put these two first during the day! The girls would always make sure Jamie was okay and happy, and willing to do whatever she wanted to happen! The 3 groomsmen were actually all brothers of the couple! One was Jake’s and two were Jamie’s. I loved that they kept their wedding party small and special!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Jake and Jamie’s fall wedding day!
Jamie, you are just the sweetest person! Inside and out! You looked absolutely gorgeous!!
Their ceremony took place in one of the barns on the property that was only lit by twinkling lights! It was such a romantic and cozy setting!
Mr. & Mrs. DITTMAN are MARRIED!!
A popcorn bar?! YES PLEASE!!
Jamie had planned for a grant sparkler exit for the end of the evening! She was SO excited about it! It was close to 8pm and they haven’t cut their pie, or did any of the first dances yet, and my radar was saying rain was coming! ALL NIGHT! We had to make a decision, FAST! I approached Jamie with the idea of gathering all of their guests and doing the sparkler exit then! We spoke with the owners and coordinators, and we were good to go! It was SO magical and turned out perfect! Just as the last few sparklers were dying out, raindrops started to fall! By the time all of the guests had gotten in the reception space safely (and dry!) , it began to DOWN. POUR! Literally pouring buckets. And this went on the rest of the evening! It was such a close one! This just shows that wedding days don’t have to go by a generic script of events. If things need to be rearranged and out of order than usual, it’s okay!!
The place settings at all of the guests tables were set with china! It was so elegant and unique!
Jamie and Jake! You adorable people! I had such an amazing time celebrating with you on your wedding day! Everything was so perfect and so YOU! I hope you are having a BLAST at your SURPRISE honeymoon that Jake planned for you! I am dying to see where you both went and see all the photos! Love you both! Thank you again for everything!!
