My last fall wedding of 2018 was definitely one I will never forget! Brittany and Nick had their wedding at The Allure On The Lake which is a newer venue in Indiana and from everything she explained to me about this place I was so excited to see it in person, it was even more gorgeous once I arrived! Her florals were starting to arrive, mimosas and hair & makeup were happening in the bridal suite, and things were kicking off! When I saw Brittany for the first time, she was just smiling ear to ear and I could tell she was SO excited and so ready for the day!
One of my favorite things about wedding days is seeing the color palette that the couple chooses and, I know I say this all the time but, their navy, gray, and blush theme has to be one of my favorites!! It’s such a timeless look that can work great in any season!! The pops of pink in her bouquets from Lake Effect Florals were such a fun touch and she also added a little rustic element in her reception with wood slices in her centerpieces! Everything just looked SO GOOD!
All of their friends and family were so sweet and I loved being around them as we celebrated Brittany and Nick! One of my favorite moments that made me tear up was right before the Mother/Son dance at their reception. The DJ started playing their chosen song, Nick was walking out to meet his sweet mom on the dance floor and right before they began to dance, she ran back to her table yelling “wait! wait!”. Nick yelling back with his hands in the air “come on mom!” , my first thought was maybe she was getting her phone to have someone record their dance together but then we all saw what she ran back to grab. She waived her hanky in the air as she walked back to the dance floor and Nick had the biggest smile on his face. It was the sweetest thing and I definitely shed a tear watching them!
