Phew! I knew this was going to happen. Okay, remind me while I make the rest of my Recap of 2020 posts to not listen to music that makes me all in my feels because I’m gettin’ all tear-y eyed over here! :’) One of my favorite things to do towards the end of the year is to go back through all of my galleries, reminisce and pick all of my favorite images to put together in a shiny recap blog post to always have and look back on! I’ve already went down memory lane and flipped through my 2019, 2018 and 2017 posts which was so fun! Just to make sure that this isn’t a mile long, I split up the different categories into their own post! This year I will be sharing my favorites from the engagement sessions, lifestyle sessions and weddings I was a part of and honored to capture!
WOW 2020, what a year you were. For a long stretch there in the late winter basically through late summer, I wasn’t sure I was going to get behind my camera at all this year! (I’m looking RIGHT at you Covid, ugh) But besides the fact that it was SUCH a difficult year to navigate running a service based business in the middle of a pandemic, it has also been filled to the BRIM with memories that I will never forget! I also experienced some “firsts” for me during these engagement sessions like including a MOTORCYCLE in Amanda and Nick’s session, shooting around Wrigley Field for Kristie and Connor’s session, photographed mainly in my favorite season (THE FALLLLL <3) and also visited some familiar locations and new favorite places (especially for Lauren and Boston’s session! Those pine trees are a DREAM!) ! To top it all off, I also photographed my first PROPOSAL for Jon and Alison!! It was such a sweet and emotional experience for me to witness and photograph!
