When Samantha reached out to me to set up an in home lifestyle session for her and Ryan to showcase their new home that was now their one year anniversary of purchasing it, I knew I was going to click with them. This showed that they valued photography and she wanted to make sure this exciting event in their life was captured, and that made me SO happy! I am such a huge believer in capturing and documenting the story of our lives and how it all unfolds so you can look back at these memories, and what better event to capture than purchasing your first home together!
I also wanted to mention that we clicked even on a bigger level -- our love for our pups! Little Buttons was such a cutie pie and I can tell how much Samantha and Ryan loved him! When I find pup parents who love their fur children just as much as I love my little Zoey, you know you found your people! Haha! I mean, who else throws a birthday party for their dog?! Zoey had the BEST 5th birthday and you can read alllll about it HERE! Haha!

Samantha got this quote framed to put above their bed that is actually from a letter she wrote to Ryan when they got engaged! How sweet is that!! Also, side note, I was so in love with their bedroom wall color! Haha!
Another thing I loved about Samantha! SHE'S CRAFTY! She made this wreath that hung on their front door! How stinkin' cute is she! It turned out so cute and I love the colors!
We ended the session with a few portraits at Lemon Lake Park in Crown Point, Indiana and I am in LOVE with these!
