It was 2009, she was wearing a yellow dress, they danced together in the gymnasium at Bloom High School for their homecoming dance and little did they know, they were dancing with the exact person they were going to marry! Anna and Dave met in these very halls when she was in her junior year, and his freshman year. That first date to the homecoming dance would be the very beginning to their forever together! It is SO hard to believe that these two are coming up on 10 years of dating by the way they interact with each other! You would of thought they were in their giddy first year, twinkle in their eyes, constantly laughing with big, flirty eyes! I guess that’s how you KNOW these two are each others soul mates! Their perfect match! Their best friend! That “butterflies in your tummy” feeling never left for these two and it’s so adorable to watch!
The story of how Dave proposed is literally something you only see in movies. It was Anna’s birthday weekend and he took her downtown Chicago for some fun! They ended up in The Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier and as they walked in, Anna saw what was about to happen. On the floor were lit candles forming a heart with flowers inside, and a guitarist singing “Perfect by Ed Sheeran”. Seriously, how “PERFECT” is that!!! Of course, SHE SAID YES! When asked what is one of Anna’s favorite things about Dave, she answered with “I love his ambition. When he sets his mind on something, he does it and does it well.” And boy did he do his proposal WELL!
When the conversation came up about where they wanted to have their engagement session, there was only one place they knew for sure where they wanted to start. Where THEIR story started, of course! Right at their high school! We met at Bloom High School and finished the session at West Beach Indiana Dunes right at sunset! We made MAGIC this day! I am SO so excited to share with you some of my favorites from Anna and Dave’s engagement session! I had such a blast with these two and I can not wait for their summer wedding next year!
