Ohhhh my goodness! Spring has finally SPRUNG here in the Chicago ‘burbs and I am SO SO HAPPY I could scream! I actually probably did squeal a few times during Kaycie and Brad’s engagement session because… I mean, just wait until you see all of the BLOOMS we had! You would think we went to an enchanted garden or something but nope! Just good ‘ole downtown Frankfort, Illinois! (Which by the way, is one of my new favorite places! You’ll definitely see why!) We had a chance of rain for this day but we we brave, I packed my clear umbrellas and we went for it and omg! The images we captured are literally what my spring engagement session dreams are made of! AND! I had the BEST couple to do it with! These two are seriously some of the kindest and most down to earth people I’ve ever met! They were totally up for anything and giggled every time I had a crazy idea and would freak out after we made it happen! Seriously, no joke, these two are NATURALS! I would put them in a pose, and Brad has his incredible way of making both Kaycie and I laugh and we just had such an awesome time together!
Let’s jump back to how these two met, because it’s actually really cool! They met at the GYM of all places! They had a small encounter at the gym but then, Brad would always go into Kaycie’s work to visit, have small talk, and he actually convinced her to workout with him! Now, his idea of a work out routine is more like an hour of heavy lifting! Little did he know, her idea of working out was spending 15 minutes on the elliptical machine, but that didn’t scare him away one bit, and they officially became a couple! Fast forward 2 years and they were staying in a hotel downtown Chicago and Brad got down on one knee to ask Kaycie to spend forever with him and of course, she said YES!
Here we are, now have just photographed their ENGAGEMENT session and we are less than a year away from their spring wedding day next April! They are planning a beautiful blush, navy and gray wedding in their hometown (also MY hometown! yay!) and then hosting the celebration at the amazing Tuscany Falls in Mokena, IL! I am so incredibly honored and thankful that I get to serve these two amazing people as they commit to each other forever! I can not WAIT to capture it all for them and know it’s going to be so joyful!!
