Alexis and Trevor, two of the sweetest and kindest souls I’ve ever met. Their story begins all the way back in high school when they were just acquaintances, didn’t really talk or know each other very well, but then started hanging out as “just friends” shortly after. It took some convincing but Trevor finally won her over and they went on a date together. That’s when everything changed. They both knew they had found someone special. During their time officially as a dating couple, they found out their whole world was about to change as they welcome their little girl Anslee into their lives. And let me tell you, that sweet little girl is just a ball of joy! These two love her so very much and seeing them celebrate their wedding day with their daughter was the most beautiful thing! Anslee wanted to be in all the photos and just LOVED being in front of the camera!
After a few months of communicating over email with Alexis, I finally got to meet them in person during their engagement session last July which you can find HERE! I just remember how quickly I clicked with them and it just felt so easy and fun being around them! It didn’t take long at all for them to warm up in front of the camera and guys, we made MAGIC that day! Their engagement session will always be one of my favorites! I would give them a prompt or pose and they would put their own spin on it, while laughing and getting snuggly with each other! Their love they have for one another was undeniable! I knew their wedding day was going to be incredible!!
April 26th arrives and it was the most perfect day for a wedding! The sun was shining and spring was finally here! The moment I walked into her bridal suite where they were getting ready, and I got smiles from all her best friends! These two have the most caring and loving people surrounding them, it’s no wonder they had 11 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen! From getting ready, to the emotional first look, to a gorgeous ceremony, and all the fun events during the reception, these two had one heck of an amazing wedding day! This is actually the biggest wedding blog post I’ve ever put together, but that’s because there were so many amazing things that happened that deserved to be shared! Alexis and Trevor, you two were MADE for each other and I can’t tell you how much I loved your wedding day and how honored I am to have been a part of it! I hope you love these highlights as much as I do! You two know how to throw a PARTY!!
Trevor’s thoughtful and BEAUTIFUL gifts to his bride!
How gorgeous are these dresses together?! Alexis did such an amazing job designing her “bridesmaids look” with mixing textures and colors in these dresses! When we got them all hung and lined up, everyone was saying that was the first time seeing them all next to each other and we were just in awe of how pretty it looked! Just wait until you see them ON these beautiful girls!
Alexis gifting all of her girls little white zipper pouches that had their names on it, along with jewelry that coordinated with whatever style and color dress they had! I just thought that was so thoughtful and special!!
This gorgeous ring was her “something blue” that was a gift to her from her grandparents! It’s actually a replica of Princess Diana’s ring!
FIRST LOOK TIME!! These two were so excited to see each other and it was so hard holding in the tears when Trevor first turned around! His face just LIT up!
Because these two shared a first look, we were able to jump right into bride and groom portraits! These two could not stop smiling and laughing with each other! That is my absolute favorite thing about first looks is that you are able to talk, laugh, hold each other, talk about the morning you had while getting ready, sneak kisses here and there, and these are things you just can’t do during your ceremony. Sometimes you have to wait 30 minutes to an HOUR before you can hug/kiss each other!
These florals by Floral Events Chicago were SO gorgeous and everyone couldn’t stop raving about them! Alexis’ vision for her bouquet came to life and it is definitely one of my all time favorite bridal bouquets!! Hands down!
Wedding party photo time! We were able to have fun with all of their best friends and get their portraits done BEFORE the ceremony so they can run off to cocktail hour once they said “I Do”. This was only possible because they did a first look and this saved us a lot of time after the ceremony to just focus on Alexis and Trevor’s HUBBY & WIFE portraits!
Just. Look. At. These. Girls!!! GORGEOUS! Definitely one of my favorite color palettes I’ve ever seen!
MARRIEDDDD! After these two snuck away for 15 minutes of alone time right after saying I Do, I got to spend time with the newlyweds during their husband & wife portraits and they were just GLOWING!
Also, how adorable is their sweet, little family! Anslee was absolutely adorable and she loved the entire day getting to celebrate her mommy and daddy!
When I saw that a “Champagne Parade” was listing on their timeline for the reception, I had no idea what that was about, but I was excited! It was the COOLEST thing! Once everyone was seated, Thunderstruck by ACDC started playing and about 10 servers came in the reception room holding bottles of champagne, following the guy pictured above, holding a MASSIVE bottle over his head. They went in sync, holding the bottle up in the air, and then pouring at the same time, all the way down the kings table. Everyone was LOVING it! I’ve never seen anything like this before and it was so awesome!
After dinner, my good friends Alyssa and Michael who were the videographers sat Alexis and Trevor down in front of a drop down screen in their reception room. Everyone was blown away by what started to play. Alyssa created a love story video with these two a few weeks back and the first time they would see it was right now, in front of all of their guests, on their wedding day! She even included clips from their first look and their ceremony HOURS after it just happened. It was absolutely amazing!
THEN, we snuck away for last minute sunset portraits before we got the party started! Because these two did a first look, they now have THREE sets of portraits from their big day with three different looks!
Alexis surprised her mom with a first dance together and there was not a dry eye in the room!! It was so sweet!
WHAT. AN. INCREDIBLE. DAY! Alexis and Trevor, I can’t thank you enough for having me be a part of your wedding day! I had an absolute blast and I am just so happy and excited for you two! I wish you SO much happiness, laughter and love with your life together and that cute little daughter you guys have! Anslee, you’re a sweetheart and I just love you three! Thank you for everything!!
