Marissa & Matt | Southern Inspired Blush and Navy Summer Wedding at Farmington Lake and Orland Chateau

The very first day I sat down and met with Marissa and Matt was on a summer day last year (which ended up being the very location we did their engagement session photos that you can see HERE ) and I remember not taking very long before falling absolutely in LOVE with them!! These two are just so down to earth, super hilarious and compliment each other so well! After having a BLAST at their engagement session, I just couldn’t help but get so excited for their wedding day!! They were PROS with every single pose I would put them in and were just so into it! I knew portrait time for them on their big day was going to be a breeze, and I was not wrong! Just WAIT until you see them! Some of my new all time favorite portraits are from this day! As we got closer and closer to the big day, I could not wait to hug these two again!!

Their wedding day was an absolute dream. The weather was perfect, the day was jam packed with moments that just tug at your heart strings, and the reception…. BOYYYY did they know how to throw a party! They had some of the most thought out details through out the day that was unique and special to them as a couple! From the monograms, to the cowboy boots, to the gorgeous outdoor ceremony location, and everything in between, it definitely was a southern wedding inspired dream and I loved it ALL! I was obsessed! Also, a HUGE shoutout to my 2nd photographer and good friend Dan Voss for being side by side with me this day! Some of the images in this post were beautifully captured by Dan and deserve to be showed to the world so I had to include them! Thanks Dan for all of your help!! Bridesmaid gifts are such a special way to thank the ladies that are standing by your side on the big day, and what better gift that a monogramed tote that they can use far after the wedding day is over! I’m such a sucker for monogramed gifts!

Off to the beautiful Farmington Lake in Mokena, IL to get these two MARRIED!!! This is such a gorgeous outdoor venue that gives you that sweet, southern vibe right by the water!

First look with the ring bearer, Donny! What a little HAM he is! He definitely stole some hearts that day! I just can’t get over his adorable little suspenders and that bow tie!
