We were all anticipating and SO excited for the big wedding of Anna and Dave on August 28, 2020 for a LONG time. Especially these two! It was in fact their 11 year dating anniversary and they chose to have their wedding share that special date which I think is such a sweet idea! A few months prior, they had to make the difficult decision to postpone their big wedding plans and party due to Covid but decided that there was no way they could part with this special date, so they decided to get married at City Hall in Chicago anyway!! Anna emailed me and said City Hall told them they were only allowed 2 guests/witnesses with them and they couldn’t choose between their parents, so she asked if I would join them and photograph the whole thing! I was honored! Such a cool thing to witness, and fun fact! This was my first City Hall wedding that I’ve photographed! I am DEFINITELY a fan!!
This was such a fun and unique experience for me to photograph and witness for these two! The whole process and ceremony inside City Hall was maybe around 10-15 minutes and it was so sweet! Once they were finally legally married, it was time for portraits and to celebrate! I had such a great time with these two exploring the city and the best part, we got to TAKE. OUR. TIME! with portraits and not having to rush with a timeline looming in our minds was so nice!
Anna and Dave, I am so honored that you wanted me to join you in your mini wedding day and I can’t WAIT to watch you guys bust a move to Drake on the dance floor with your friends and family during your big celebration next year!!
