Kaycie & Brad | Navy and Blush Wedding at Avalon Manor in Merrillville, Indiana

I am SO unbelievably happy and excited to finally have this blog post published and out into the world, because that means that Kaycie and Brad’s wedding day was finally here! This year was supposed to be the year these two finished up loose ends of wedding planning, and look forward to their spring celebration. Then a global pandemic hit and threw them a curve ball of having to make the difficult decision to postpone the big day. Further down the road they made another hard decision to also change their venue with a few months left until they were set to exchange their I Do’s. These two handled this years challenges together, and I just KNOW they are capable, now more than ever, to take on anything that life throws at them into their journey of married life!

This was such an emotional and joyful wedding day that was filled with unique and tear jerking moments that I’m sure everyone will never forget, including myself! Two of my favorite moments - After the unity sand pouring during the Ceremony, Brad hugged his little girl Lilly and Kaycie hugged her daughter Makenna, then the girls shared a hug together sealing the unity that they are officially sisters and it brought the entire room to tears. It was the sweetest thing! Then during the reception, Makenna had something very special planned for her Mom! She had a choreographed danced planned the last 6 months that she performed for Kaycie to the song “ She Taught Me How to Love Myself “ and there was NOT a dry eye in the room! I was bawling underneath my mask! Haha!!

Kaycie and Brad, I am so incredibly honored to have been your photographer and being able to witness such a special day! It was definitely a PARTY that everyone was patiently waiting for, especially you two! I’m so happy for you that you are finally Mr. & Mrs. Mead!! I hope you love your highlight blog post!!
