Alyssa & Ethan | Lavender and Navy Wedding at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, Indiana

The sound of the rain pouring on the roof of the wrap around porch, the slight breeze blowing through, the crispness in the air- all made the perfect and cozy setting for Alyssa and Ethan’s wedding day. One of the biggest fears when planning a wedding (besides dealing with a global pandemic, yikes!!) is the idea of rain ruining your day. It makes things a little difficult, especially your photos! BUT, I think the rain was in our favor on this chilly Saturday! Sure, we couldn’t do much outside (except when there was a 3 minute clearing JUST in time for the full wedding party photos!) but we made the most of it and let me just say, I was FOREVER grateful for the wrap around porch that Fair Oaks Farms has around their venue! We did almost all of their portraits on different parts of the porch and I am IN LOVE with how they turned out! A few people even commented that the sound of the rain while we were taking photos made the setting so cozy and relaxing! I couldn’t agree more! It was beautiful!

I was SO excited to finally see Alyssa and Ethan again after over a year when I saw them in person last for their summer engagement session! (you can also read how these two met, and how Ethan proposed in their E session blog post!) I just remember how much fun we had at the Hamstra Gardens and just how EASY they made my job that day. They are total models and they embraced the session with laughs, playfulness, and we had so much fun! I just couldn’t wait to get them in front of my camera again and finally CELEBRATE their wedding day!

Alyssa and Ethan, you two are just the sweetest humans and I am HONORED to have been a part of such a joyful and FUN wedding day that you two will look back on for the rest of your lives together!
