From the very first moment I walked into the home where Matthew was getting ready, to finally hugging Abby in her bridal suite at the venue, all the moments in between, to the very last hug goodbye at the end of the night, I couldn’t help feel a little emotional through out the entire day. It was finally their wedding day! After months of planning and keeping me updating with all the new things that were getting checked off her list, I woke up that morning feeling so giddy and excited for them that it was finally here! I don’t think Abby + Matthew could be more perfect for each other, and they just have the sweetest souls! The way they would smile at each other, talk with such gentle and kind tones, the way Matthew’s eyes would light up when Abby was walking his way, these two were without a doubt marrying their “person”. Abby and I have built a friendship over the last few months that I will seriously cherish forever, and I think our DEEP love for our pup babies is my favorite thing ever. (Zoey and Henry need a play date ASAP girly!) I don’t think I’ve met someone who ALSO views their dog as a such a huge part of the family as Abby does with little Henry and I so wish he could of been there with us that day! Having such a sweet relationship with her made this experience that much more special, and made it that much more emotional for me on their big day to witness it all unfold! But I loved every second of it!
These two dreamed to have their wedding ceremony of their dreams outdoors in the gardens at The Gardens of Woodstock but the forecast was testing their hopes. We had a chance of rain ALL day, but let me tell you, the rain gods were on OUR side this day because we got ALL of their portraits done outdoors, their first look, family formals, EVERYTHING! And they had the most gorgeous outdoor ceremony like they planned and hoped for. Everything fell into place and worked out perfectly!
Abby and Matthew both come from very big families and knew they wanted them to be involved in many ways on their wedding day, which I LOVE! Their bouquets and boutonnieres were made by Matthew’s sister which was Abby’s maid of honor, Abby’s sister did the makeup and sister in law did the hair that morning, their cake was handmade by Matthew’s mother, and Abby’s older sister was the one who married them!! How special is that! I loved that so many people that they love were involved with so many things on their big day!
From their dusty blue color palette (which looked absolutely STUNNING against all of the green in the gardens), the emotional first look, all the details in between, to the ONE HECK OF A PARTY, Abby + Matthew sure had an incredible wedding day that definitely goes down as one of my favorites! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites and taking a peek into how special their day was!
The most joyful a beautiful bride!!
I absolutely loved how unique and different Abby’s rings were! Very dainty and pretty!
These two decided to write their own vows to each other, but wanted to read them in private after their first look. This is such a good idea if you are someone that is nervous talking in front of people but still want to have special written vows to your significant other. So after they shared their first look, I stepped away and gave them a few moments to truly be alone and share that time together.
We had two little ones eavesdropping on us during bride and groom portraits!
I was OBSESSED with this dusty blue color!! They look SO good with the classic white and green bouquets!
Shots of Patron? My people!! Haha!
OH MY GOSH! What a party!!! Abby and Matthew’s friends and family sure know how to have a good time and I was LOVING every second of it! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart for giving me this honor of being a part of such an incredible day! I just adore you two and wish you a lifetime of happy memories with little Henry by your side! Thank you for EVERYTHING!! I miss you two already! :(
