It’s not often that something good comes out of going to a beer tent, but that is exactly where I met these two incredible humans. Yup, in a beer tent! Not the most ideal place to meet potential clients but hey! That’s just the type of people Nicole and Tyler are! They are some of the most carefree, easygoing, and friendly people I’ve ever met! They can literally start up a conversation with anyone, and ANYWHERE, and you instantly want to be their friend! They are hilarious and just so fun to be around, which makes sense why they are getting married to each other! They are each others perfect person and I’m so excited for you to see their engagement session photos!
The one thing that I’m hopeful of for each and every couple that steps foot in front of my camera, is that I can make them feel comfortable and feel totally 100% themselves. I want their true smiles to come alive. I want to capture the way they laugh with each other. I want to showcase who they truly are as a couple and I put high expectations on myself because I wanted that for these two. The first few MINUTES we started shooting, I could already tell it was going to be easy! For one, these two CAN’T take a bad photo! Seriously! And they started being silly and playful from the very start. Tyler knew exactly what to do to bring out Nicole’s laugh and I loved it!! We even got a handful of hilarious “blooper” images that crack me UP!!! But we’ll save those for just the three of us, and us only. Haha!
We explored the grounds of Cantigny Park and laughed and talked about their summer wedding next year and I just had the BEST time with them! Nicole and Tyler, you two are the sweetest things and I am HONORED to be your photographer and be a part of this journey with you guys! We captured some of my new all time favorite images together and I hope you love these just as much as I do! Enjoy!! xo

These next set of images are some of my favs because they are just so filled with joy and laughter!! I could not stop smiling!! You two are SO CUTE!!!
Ohhhhkay. Talk about secret hidden magical places. Tyler noticed this huuuge draping tree while we were walking to our first location and said he wanted to try and get some shots in there. I was a little skeptical to be totally honest because of how dark in looked under all the limbs and branches and knew the only way this would work is if we had sunlight peeking through. You can see on the images above, it’s almost like the branches and leaves are making a huge dome! It was so pretty looking!! I said we can totally try it on our way back through. During all of our stops we made through the session, he was just so excited and anxious to get to this tree! When we finally looped around, a miracle happened! The sun was BEAMING right on the tree! I told them to RUN in there while it was still shining and you guys, these are some of my favorites from the whole shoot! It’s SO GLOWY and dreamy!! I totally give full credit to Tyler for these images since it was ALL his idea!! Haha!
