It feels SO GOOD putting together this engagement session post because this was the first one I’ve had in MONTHS! (thanks a lot Covid, waaahh!) Getting back behind my camera made my heart flutter and made me so happy! But to make it even more incredible, is that I got to spend this first session back after quarantine with Amanda and Nick! I have been dyyyyying to get these two in front of my camera ever since we started planning their session almost a YEAR ago already!! Just communicating through emails, Instagram DM’s, and text messages over the last year, I already loved Amanda and couldn’t wait to officially meet her and Nick in person! Funny story actually, Amanda is cousins with one of my brides from last year (shout out to Marissa!! Love yah girly!!) and these two attended their wedding! I actually got the CUTEST picture of them on the dance floor together and this was before Amanda ever reached out to me about possibly being HER wedding photographer! So, when she reached out to me after Marissa and Matt’s wedding, I was SO excited and couldn’t wait to meet them in person officially!
We finally get to Worth Waterfalls (which is a new-to-me place and I definitely want to come back, it’s so pretty!!), and I spotted them from across the park walking towards me. My first thought was “Omgsh they look like they are walking off of a movie set!” They totally nailed their outfits!! Amanda has a HUGE love for the color purple and incorporating that in her tassel earrings and heels was SUCH a fun touch! Nick was even tied in perfectly with a light purple button up! They looked awesome! And their smiles just lit up the park and I instantly felt warmly welcomed and like I knew them forever already!
These two have the most bubbly and fun personalities and let me tell you, I was SO impressed by them! Not even 5 minutes went by and they were SO into the shoot! I could just tell that they trusted me with whatever type of pose I put them in and they just giggled and laughed through it all and I could tell they were having fun. (which made me so happy!) At one point I had to take a look around the park to see if anyone was looking at me like I was a crazy person from how loud I was from being so excited! HAHA! Anyone that has stepped foot in front of my camera could testify to this, that the more I get excited during a shoot, the higher the level of my voice gets. (oopps! lol)
We finished at the park with about an hour left until sunset and we headed to the second half of the shoot. Amanda had told me about their vision for the last half and I was SO excited for it. It was definitely a “first” for me! Nick has a motorcycle that they ride all the time together, so they wanted to bring that into the shoot to have photos that were unique and personal to them! I have never done a shoot with a motorcycle before so it was super fun for me to get my creative juices flowing with something new! I LOVED how they turned out! Honestly, this whole shoot was amazing and I loved every second of it!
Amanda and Nick, you both made my job SO flippen easy and I had such a blast with you!!! This was such a joy to get back into shooting again and being with you guys during it! I hope you love these just as much as I do! Enjoy your highlight blog post from your ENGAGEMENT SESSION! Ahhhh! :)
^^ “Just for funsies”!! ;)
Amanda and Nick, I had SO MUCH FUN with you during your engagement session on Friday! I felt so sad when it was over and I wished we could of hung out all night!
