Let’s play ball! This was such a special day for the Mead family because they were celebrating their little man’s first birthday by doing something a little different than the traditional “cake smash” session! Kaycie decided to just have a more laid back, documentary style session that captures their whole family doing an activity together! Since Brady’s party theme was going to be baseball, and they are a family with a lot of history of playing baseball and softball, we came up with the idea of— why don’t I photograph them PLAYING baseball!
They came prepared at the baseball fields in Peotone, Illinois with mitts, balls and Brad’s (Dad) bat that he used when he played (how special!) and spent the afternoon playing and making sweet memories with little Brady! I love how this was a different take on a birthday photo session and focused on who they are as a family while still keeping the spotlight on the one year old!
