Ohhhhh Lisa and Aaron!! These two special humans have shown up quite frequently on my blog and in front of my camera after photographing their engagement , wedding and maternity sessions over the last 6 years and now here we are documenting them at their new home and with their son in their arms! :’) It has been such an incredible journey to be a part of so many huge milestones for these two and this might be my favorite of theirs yet!
Lisa said that she envisioned this session being at the comfort of their home (that they recently moved in to!) and I’m SO glad we did it here! How gorgeous is this porch! What I would do to have a wrap around porch like this to sip my morning coffee on! Such a dream! Usually when I do sessions at my clients home, they are for the most part always inside their home but Lisa and Aaron wanted to stay outdoors, and with this porch… I was 100% okay with that! Haha! We created such sweet images of the four of them (their pup Finny Boy made an appearance!!) and I know years from now they are going to cherish these when little Nolan is all grown up!
This session reminds me of what people call “the good ole’ days”. Just a simple Friday afternoon, hanging out with the ones you love, snuggling up on the porch of your (maybe?) forever home with your first child. There is just nothing sweeter. And this season of life will only last for so long. I look back on photos when I was little and it’s always the ordinary days and the simple moments in the photographs that tug on my heart strings just a little extra. This session gave me a new spark of love for what I do and inspired me for future sessions ahead. Enjoy looking through some of my favorites from this cozy session at home with the Tanis family! And for youuuuu, Lisa & Aaron… thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me this opportunity to be a small part of so many of your biggest milestones in your lives! It has been such a beautiful thing to witness from my point of view (and my lens haha!) You both mean so much to me and I can never thank you enough for the support you continuously give!
