What happens when there is rain in the forecast, it just rained ALL day so the ground is soaked, and you have family photos scheduled- you embrace the weather and play in the mud puddles! HOW fun are these?! Jenna was ALL for doing something different to make new memories with her kiddos and the outcome turned out to be one of my favorite sessions I’ve ever done! I love how carefree, FUN, and different it is! Sometimes you just have to not take life too seriously and get a little dirty after a rainy day.
Of course before we let then jump in the mud, we had to capture some cleaner ;) family portraits of these four and even these turned out so fun! This was not the first time photographing the Kennedy family (or the last time) and something that really sticks out with Jenna that I absolutely love is that she adores the candid, in between moments. She prefers the loud bursts of laughter during tickle fights over perfectly posed smiling photos, so something as fun as letting loose and playing in the mud puddles was right up her alley (and was also HER IDEA!)
I just love how this session turned out and I’m so excited to get it up on blog for the world to see and gush over with me! Would you get down and dirty and do a shoot like this? *both of my hands are up! Enjoy some of my favorites from this joy filled afternoon!
TIME TO PLAY IN THE MUD!!!!
Cade was so confused at first because momma was wiping mud all over his shirt! He was shocked! We were just taking family photos and now he’s getting dirty which is what you normally would tell your child NOT to do when taking photos! It was hilarious and precious!
