Becca & Josh | Cornflower Blue and Lavender Wedding at Zachary’s Red Barn in Homer Glen, Illinois

As I’m putting the wedding blog post together of Becca and Josh, and looking over all of the highlight images that I’m including, I keep catching myself with a silly little smile on my face. These two had one of the most relaxed and carefree wedding days I’ve seen in a while. That’s not me saying that they didn’t care about anything that day and just let “whatever happens, happen” , because that is not the case at all. They had everything planned out, the decor details were beautiful, everyone knew where to be and at what time, everything went perfectly and according to their plan! But what I meant by that was, their main focus was to just get married and be surrounded by all the people they love! (and I’m HONORED I was included!) Let me tell yah, Becca and Josh’s people… they know how to PARTY! Every aspect of the day involved someone being silly and having fun! They weren’t worried about a thing. As long as they were all together, and they finally say their “I Do’s”, that’s all that truly mattered to them, and I LOVE that about these two!

The vibe and style that they were going for was somewhat country rustic (wait till you see their venue!) and a little bit of whimsical with the gorgeous cornflower blue and lavender color palette. By having the groomsmen and Josh in only vests and dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, it gave a relaxed feel to their look. The bridesmaid dresses from Royal Bridal & Tuxedo had layers of tulle that brought the whimsy vibe! Through out the decor elements you could find raw wood table numbers, long farm tables for the reception seating, burlap table runners, lanterns, whiskey barrels and glass jars which most, if not all of these pieces were provided by the venue, Zachary’s Red Barn which was super convenient and helpful I’m sure!

I can not even express how thankful I am to have been a part in your wedding celebration, Becca and Josh! You two are just the absolute sweetest and your big day will forever go down in my books as one of the silliest and fun weddings I’ve captured! Your friends and family, ESPECIALLY your wedding party!! , were SO much fun to hang out with!! Here are some of my absolute favorites from your day and I hope you love them just as much as I do!

OHHHkay, time for some silly ones! This group was SUCH a blast and there was no way I wasn’t going to include some of the fun shots they were requesting! Before we started taking the serious portraits, I told everyone that if they had a drink in their hand, they had to get rid of it as fast as you can. (opps?! )

Then, as we began the more posed and formal photos, I told all the gentlemen to put their hands in their pockets… and they all proceeded to do this… LOL
