Recap of 2019 | Best of Weddings — Megan Goggins Photography

I think every time I sit down to put together a recap post of the previous wedding year, I will hands down get ALL up in my feels. After reliving all 18 (!!!) wedding days from 2019, I have so many emotions running through my head and my heart. One of them is the feeling of such accomplishment. This is the most weddings I’ve taken on in one year and it was tough, I’m not going to lie. But SO rewarding. All of the incredible couples that put their full trust in me to capture one of the biggest days of their lives, and after all was said and done, gaining so many friendships that I’m so grateful for, is just the best feeling in the world. Out of the hundreds and thousands of photographers out there, for these people to hand select ME to share their day with, is something that I will never take for granted. Jillian and Zach, Alexis and Trevor, Lindsey and Dan, Jill and Joe, Abby and Matthew, Paige and JD, Mariana and Seth, Marissa and Matt, Rayanne and John, Monica and Mike, Stephanie and Dave, Becca and Josh, Megan and Tom, Jamie and Corey, Kayla and Brandon, Mallory and Nick, Emma and Drew, & Megan and Lorenzo…. from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for absolutely everything and for being the sweetest couples that I one day before once dreamed of being able to work with! Thank you for giving me the privilege of capturing your wedding day (and engagement sessions!!) , and inviting me into the most incredible celebrations I’ve ever been a part of!! For making me feel so welcomed into your families and friend groups, for being some of my absolute biggest cheerleaders, and just being exactly who YOU are. I am sending you all the biggest hugs for such a memorable and amazing year!!! Love you all!!

Okay, now that I’ve wiped my tears away haha, let’s jump right into the post! 2019 brought me to some new to me venues, and also brought me back to some repeat venues, one of them being VERY close to my heart. In July I was able to be on the other side of the camera on the stomping grounds of where I was a bride almost 2 years prior. Mariana and Seth, thank you for not only allowing me to be a part of your lives and a small part on your wedding day, but also giving me that experience to work and photograph at my own wedding venue. I’ve was able to see some families for the 2nd time as I photograph a few siblings weddings of people I’ve worked with in the past which was SO sweet, as well as photograph a few bridesmaids and groomsmen of people in the past that now were celebrating THEIR wedding day! I shared my wedding anniversary date with Kayla and Brandon who I’ve known for MANY years, and being able to be a part of their wedding day was so special to me! I’ve seen some of the most STUNNING design elements, bouquets, and color palettes this year and I think 2019 was definitely the year of BLUES! (which I LOVED!!!) And just being able to see how all 18 of these couples’ personalities and styles shine through in so many different ways was so much fun to see and capture! 2019, you were definitely a year that I will never forget for so many reasons and I’m so excited to share some of my absolute favorite images that I captured from all 18 weddings days I was a part of!
